Pilot in Madrid · For families, run by adults

We help your child find their crew, not a one-off contact.

TRIBU connects families who live nearby so they can meet in the real world, make plans and see that relationship grow over time.

More than an app: a community.

What is TRIBU?

TRIBU is an app for families who want their children to have a group of friends close to home. Each family describes their child – nickname, school year and interests, never a photo or their full name – and when they have free time. With that, every week TRIBU suggests up to three like-minded families from the same neighbourhood, explaining why they’re a good match and without any scores. The adults talk to each other in a private chat, make plans in parks, libraries or on nearby routes and, once they’ve met up several times, they form their crew. Children never have an account: everything is managed by a responsible adult who is verified with their school’s code. TRIBU is a pilot in Madrid, in the districts of Fuencarral-El Pardo, Hortaleza, Vicálvaro and Villa de Vallecas, and it works in the browser on your phone or computer, just like an app.

The journey of a tribe

We don’t generate endless matches. We walk alongside you on a journey that ends in real friendships.

  1. Discover

You tell us what your child is like – nickname, school year and up to three interests – and when you’re free. No photos and no full name.

  2. Form your tribe

Every week, TRIBU suggests up to three like-minded families from your neighbourhood, with clear reasons and never a percentage. No swiping.

  3. Connect

The adults, already verified, talk in a private chat.

  4. Meet up for real

You make a plan close to home: a park, a library, a bike ride. With a set number of places, a recommended age and in-person check-in.

  5. Grow

When several families meet up again and again, a crew is born: their own group for making plans and chatting.

Designed with safety first

  • Children never have an account or log in.
  • Every child belongs to a responsible adult. To chat or meet up, that adult is verified with their school’s code.
  • No photos of minors: each child is represented by a sticker.
  • No public profiles, no exact or real-time location, no swiping.
  • No rankings, likes or scores between children.
  • Messages are only between adults.
  • You can download or delete all your data whenever you like, and protect your account with two-step verification.

Matches come from what each family tells us: ages, interests, availability and neighbourhood. They are not a psychological measure.
